The omega-3 fatty acids influence mood and impulsivity according to research conducted at the School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh.

Food with Omega 3
In this study involving 106 healthy individuals, participants who had lower blood levels of omega-3 were more likely to report mild to moderate symptoms of depression, a more negative and more impulsive. Conversely, those who Avient higher levels of omega-3 were “more comfortable”.
A number of studies have established a link between omega-3 and clinical conditions such as major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance abuse and attention deficit disorder. But few studies have shown links between omega-3 and psychological states in healthy adults.
This research opens the door, according to the researchers, future research verifying the effect of an increase in the intake of omega-3 either by including foods rich in omega-3 in the diet or by taking fish oil supplements.
